Mindfulness meditation is unique in that it is not directed toward getting us to be different from how we already are. Instead, it helps us become aware of what is already true moment by moment. We could say that it teaches us how to be unconditionally present; that is, it helps us be present with whatever is happening, no matter what it is.
Enjoy an evening exploring meditation, mindful self-compassion and sensory awareness practices, all of which can lead to better stress management, decreased anxiety, increased concentration and a more balanced interaction with everyday situations. This workshop is specifically designed to help you develop a set of life skills so that you may be able to better relate what is happening in and around you with more wisdom and compassion. In addition to this, you will learn and practice different types of meditation so that you may choose which one works best for you and incorporate it into your daily life.
